Currier and Ives were partners who founded a successful printmaking firm in New York City, (1834-1907). They produced hand colored prints of Americana copied from paintings by celebrated artists of the day. Today, any existing original prints are highly collectible.

Our shade is illustrated with four Americana Currier & Ives scenes; River Steamboat, Horses & Carriage, Immigrants Westward, N.Y. Central Park Ice Skaters -  repeated twice on eight bent panels. They are ceramic decals fired permanently onto honey glass. This shade will add a bit of charming Victorian nostalgia to your home.
