Currier and Ives were partners who founded a successful printmaking firm in New York City, (1834-1907). They produced hand-colored prints of Americana copied from paintings by celebrated artists of the day. Today, any existing original prints are highly collectible.

Our shade is illustrated with four Americana Currier & Ives scenes; River Steamboat, Horses & Carriage, Immigrants Westward, N.Y. Central Park Ice Skaters -  repeated twice on eight bent panels. We fired ceramic decals permanently onto the honey glass. This shade will add a bit of charming Victorian nostalgia to your home.
