The Dragonfly Lamp is one of the most iconic of Tiffany’s lamps. It won him awards, fame and fortunes. Chief studio artist, Clara Driscoll designed this organic Art Nouveau lamp in 1900. When first exhibited, it was strange, mysterious and an expensive home-decorative artifact catering to Tiffany's wealthy clientel. Today, the value of an original Tiffany Dragonfly Lamp has soared into the $40,000 to $140,000 thousands of dollars according to size.  

Dragonfly Lamps have been our most popular item since displaying the first one in 1976 in our shop window at Polk Street Tiffany, San Francisco, California.

This shade's background color is pale turquoise & mauve blended glass. It is accented on top and bottom with cobalt blue glass. The dragonflies stand out in olive green bodies, silver wings overlayed with brass filigree and amber jewel eyes.

The cast metal base is decorated in high relief  with stylized Victorian bows. It has double, pull-chain sockets that take 2 standard 60-watt bulbs.
