As I look upon the rich Fall colors of our Fish Scale stained glass shade I reminisce about all the falls that have been in my life and ask myself why do I like this season best.
The colors are so rich. They are deep and elegant with golds and burgundy, purple and forest greens. They reflect nature during its time of coziness, of being rooted and nested. The autumn air has a rustic scent of sweet drying leaves.
For those like me who love hot weather, Fall has “Indian Summer” with temperatures just as hot as regular summer.
I love the fashions we wear for Fall with tweeds and woolens in classic colors.
Fall offers the last harvest to enjoy with family and friends around the home hearth.
Fall is a dramatic time with changing leaves and dropping temperatures as mother nature prepares the earth for Winter - the beautiful harshness to come. Unlike the raw newness of Spring, the wildness that Summer instills, and sparseness of Winter, Fall invokes togetherness, security.
I like that.
